Community Spotlight : Jamaal Simmons

How did you get the drive to be in multimedia production? I got into it in 2011 when my advisor told me about this place called Gamecock Productions. I fell in love with video production that day and I’ve been doing it ever since.

How has the industry evolved since you started? Content these days are quick and fast. More people are engaged on the organizations social media than the website.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve filmed? The craziest thing I’ve filmed was riding on a Go-Kart with one of the football players.

What’s been your proudest thing to be a part of so far? Being apart of team with a great group of guys who are more than just athletes. They are great people with wonderful personalities and they’re just great to be around.

How are you getting through these trying times? Mediating and going out for walks/runs.

What’s your capital city pedicab connection? I met Mike after football practices and we’ve been connected ever since.
