Founded in December 2012, we are the first pedicab company in the Tallahassee metropolitan area. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint one pedicab at a time. Our service area includes Downtown,Gaines Street,All Saints, Railroad Square, College Town, and FSU. Each one of our pedicab drivers serve as “Ambassadors” for the City of Tallahassee and Leon County and are more than happy to provide information about the city’s restaurants, nightlife, and family friendly venues. Our pedicabs strive to provide that “central park” carriage ride nostalgic feeling. Our vision is to be the premier provider of “once in a lifetime” experiences for Tallahassee residents and visitors, one pedicab ride at a time. Capital City Pedicabs provides exploration of the unique features that Tallahassee, Florida has to offer, through Pedicab tours. In addition, we provide alternative transportation services to Tallahassee residents and university students. We are an inexpensive, environmentally friendly, fun, and safe means of transportation. By employing local drivers, Capital City Pedicabs contributes to the local economy and overall welfare of the Tallahassee community. The flow of traffic determines whether we are on the roads or ride on the sidewalks.
Contrary to popular belief Capital City Pedicabs operates year round with busy seasons three months at a time. When we first started we focused on late night bar runs in midtown but have since evolved into being able to pedal around for the day to day business of Tallahassee. Our busiest times are FSU Football season and Florida Legislative Session. We find events to work during the rest of the year to keep us busy. A typical pedicab customer hops in for a variety of reasons. Whether they want to enjoy a tour around town, add a unique twist to a date night or that extra something for a wedding we have you covered.
Capital City Pedicabs has also made strides in the community over the last few years with Florida State University, The City Of Tallahassee and others. We gained access to city parks and are classified as a bicycle once parks and rec determined that there was no motor involved.
Capital City Pedicabs is proud to be involved with Sustainable Tallahassee, The Downtown Business Association of Tallahassee and other non profits that help show what Tallahassee is about. So the next time you hop in a pedicab enjoy the scenery from the open air point of view!
