I started working for Capital City Pedicabs very early on after meeting the owner, Ron Goldstein in a bicycle shop. I was excited about the idea of pedicabs coming to Tallahassee. At the time, I was finishing up my PhD and knew that I’d be moving out of town in a couple months. The pedicab gig was a great opportunity to take a job where I could make my own hours and not impose on the establishment when I had to leave Tallahassee.
I always felt that I was treated fairly and my feedback was valued. This was a very physically demanding job, but one of the most fun ones I’ve ever had. People who take pedicab rides tend to be fun-loving and kind. I may have ended a shift tired, but I was always happy.
