Entertainment Spotlight : King Complex

How did King Complex get started?

Bracher: My parents met at a publix when they were in college. They did some stuff and then this happened.

Cody: Although sex and birth did have a lot to do with this, we got bored playing rock music.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about King Complex that they may not already know?

Bracher: I’m not a big fan of those head scratcher things. The ones that look like a claw and you slide them down your head. Shit’s weird.

Cody: Yeah if they brought one of those to a show I would not be upset.
How has the industry evolved over the years?

Cody: There is little debate among Biologists that we are facing a biological crisis that rivals the worst mass extinctions of the past. Music reflects nature and society.
Bracher: I’m not sure we’re deep enough in the industry to say anything with much authority, but from what I’ve seen over the last 7 years or so there hasn’t been much evolution. I think artists and labels are still trying to find a way to compensate for the money lost to streaming services.

What brings people to a King Complex show?

Bracher: I’ve been trying to figure that out as well

Cody: We do our best to cater to our own (and our generations) lack of attention span using lights, noise, costumes, dancing, and of course…alcohol. You know on second thought maybe its just the alcohol.
What’s the craziest thing to happen at a King Complex show?

Cody: We have been known to get schwifty.

Bracher: uuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What’s next for King Complex?
Bracher: We’re booking a good amount of shows around Florida for the next few months. We also have plans to record new music sometime in November.

Cody: There is also a comic book in the making.

What social media does King Complex use?
Bracher: You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Grindr, Instagram, and Snapchat

Cody: @KingComplexMusic (Insta) / King Complex (Facebook) / @KingComplexBand (Twitter, Snapchat) / @KingComplexDTF (Grindr)
