Meet Digital Artist Tony Ivory!

When did you know you wanted to be a digital artist?

I have always known i wanted to have a career in art because i have always drawn various things since i was a kid.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about being a digital artist that they may not already know?

Digital artists are a dime a dozen right now, dont think a degree is the only thing going to get yourself anywhere. you have to set yourself apart and find the right nieche.

How has the industry evolved over the years?

The photography industry has changed faster than the General public can afford to value it. A professional photographer is only as good as their final product that the public either accepts or doesnt. A degree does not place a value on your work- you and your public does. Everyone is a photographer (or graphic artist) so why pay someone else to do it when my aunt has an AWESOME camera??
How has growing up in a family of artists influenced your art style?

It has definitely helped me with lighting- learning the classical lighting techniques of the masters and such.

What advice do you have for aspiring artists?
Start out with a full time job that is fulfilling until your art can support your lifestyle. following your dreams is great but it doesnt pay your bills which will ultimately get you to your final goal. Just never give up on your art if you truly believe in it.
What’s next for you?

Hopefully expanding my clothing lines i started and give more to wildlife conservation….and being luckily discovered by someone who will pay me millions LOL
What social media do you use?

Mostly now I use Instagram. I believe Facebook is fine but instagram is more viral i feel.

Describe being a digital artist in 5 words or less

Frustratingly fulfilling.
