Our director, J.D. Frizzell, started the group in 2008 as a once-a-week after school group designed to sing fun, yet challenging popular vocal music.
What do you want visitors and locals to know about One Voice that they may not already know?
We love what we do, and that means we have to work very hard to make our music! In addition to most of us being in Honors Chamber Choir, we also rehearse for an hour each day on OneVoice music. We have a very specific and intensive process. Our passion is sharing this music with as many people as possible with the intent of bringing joy into their lives. We are also very committed to supporting music education in schools and hopefully inspiring more young people to sing.
How has being on America’s Got Talent helped One Voice grow as a group?
We had to learn A LOT of new music in a short amount of time and make it performance ready. This made us better musicians!
Where would you like to perform that you haven’t yet?
We’d love to open for Pentatonix!
What’s next for One Voice?
We have some exciting plans in the works for next year. You’ll see us continue to work alongside some of the top names in a cappella while venturing into more vocal electronica (live looping, pedals, effects).
What social media does One Voice use?
We are everywhere!
