Meet The Adventures Of Annabelle Lyn!

How did The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn get started?

The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn began in fall 2012 as the three founding members were introduced by a mutual friend. We realized that we could put our middle names together, Anne, Belle and Lyn to create the fictitious, mythical heroine- Annabelle Lyn. We decided that Annabelle Lyn would take on adventures at every twist and turn of her musical life and the idea of ‘theme shows’ was born simultaneously.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn that they may not already know?

Our musical adventures have included two Siren Song adventures where we played up the mermaid theme, a wizard of oz themed evening dubbed ‘Annabelle Lyn Goes Over the Rainbow’, a gypsy adventure, the train heist, and coming up – ‘Annabelle Lyn’s American Woman Adventure’ at Tom Brown Park on the 4th of July 2016.

Our ‘End of the World’ show inspired Kathryn to write a bluegrass song about the zombie apocolyse. We have a music video on youtube: ‘Zombies on the Mountain’ @

What’s the craziest thing that happened at a show?

Our ‘Wizard of Oz’ themed show was publicized ‘Annabelle Lyn Goes Over the Rainbow.’ We had a blast dressing up like the women from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and decorating the old Mockingbord Café for the show. Afterwards, there was a drag show and everyone got into the theatrics of good witches, bad witches and walking the yellow brick road.

At our recent Beatles show on Valentine’s Day, we themed our show ‘Annabelle Lyn’s Lonely Hearts Club’ and covered our favorite Beatles tunes. We were blown away when 20 or so of our musician friends all showed at the end, just in time to form an impromptu choir as we all sang ‘Hey Jude.’ It filled the room with a glorious sound and vibe.

Who has been an influence for The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn?

We are inspired by our love of music, passion for the performing arts and incessant creative drive. The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn is a trio of multi-instrument playing, song-writing and harmony singing women. We look to our fans for encouragement to keep going and our heroes for inspiration including: Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, Heather Maloney, Rising Appalachia, Mollie O’Brien, Kathy Mattea, The Andrews Sisters and many more. We are so thankful to the promoters and venues that have welcomed us over the years and most importantly to the people that come out and listen.
Where would you like to play that you haven’t yet?

It is a long-standing dream the The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn will take our music to the road and launch a tour across the United States. We like to dream big. With some hard work and a little magic, hopefully the stars will align!

We would also relish the opportunity to play one of the festivals over at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

What’s next for The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn?

Our first album, ‘Maiden Voyage’, is in the final stages of mastering and printing. We have our fingers crossed that it will be ready on the 4th of July when we play at Tom Brown Park. We are currently writing and compiling music for our second album.

Our other fun idea on the horizon is that we have been playing at 5th & Thomas restaurant and music room frequently these days and are working on a monthly themed jam night series this fall.
