When did you know you wanted to be an artist?
Never specifically though one day “hey I’d like to be an artist”. I’ve always done it though, even when I was a kid I was drawing something or making little figures out of whatever I could find;Twist ties, electrical wire, tinfoil, buttons
Where did the idea for life wired come from?
the idea, or the name at least, came from a little paperclip frog that rocked back and forth and made tapping sounds again the shelf it sat on, even walking across the floor made it shake. I eventually found the source of the sound, and I came up with the name after making some joke about It being a live wire frog
How has the industry evolved over the years?
I don’t think I am old enough to speculate on any major evolution. Social media is a bigger thing than it was a few years ago though. Every one has some online something now, or they are on something somewhere.
What inspires you for your art?
I like to be inspired by the materials and what they lend themselves to, or I get stuck on an idea or concept and rework it over and over till the product fulfills what ihad in mind.
What’s next for you?
college, some combination of art and anthropology, maybe work in museums or something like that one day.
Describe being an artist in 5 words or less
pretending to have a plan
What social media do you use?
Facebook page, nothing extensive on other sites
