Entertainment Spotlight : Actor Ryan Ochoa

When did you know you wanted to be an actor?

I mean I wouldn’t say there was a day I just woke up and knew, but I have always been outgoing and an entertainer. Growing up I would always be searching for ways to make my family and everyone around us laugh and just enjoy life. That’s why acting was my true calling in my eyes. I have always wanted to make people happy and smile and I knew acting would be the way.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about acting that they may not already know?

It’s hard work, major dedication, and lots of rejection. I absolutely love what I do but it can be hard at times and that’s why confidence is key. No matter what, everyone needs to be confident in who they are even as an actor.

Who has inspired you as an actor?

There has been so many! There are countless of amazing actors who have influence some part of my career but if anyone knows me, they know that Leonardo DiCaprio is my favorite and every movie of his is my favorite! And as a humanitarian he shows me that you can do so much for people and the world than just act in movies. It’s so much more than just the acting!

What role would you like to play that you haven’t yet?

I really want to play a title character superhero in a big sci-fi blockbuster! I have gotten the amazing opportunity to play an iconic superhero for an incredible project that is still filming and will be announced soon, but I just make a cameo so I’m hoping people see that I can pull it off in a major summer blockbuster!

What’s the craziest thing that has happened on set?

Oh sadly there has been many but the one I will never forget was on the set of Pair of Kings! It was during a live audience and I was in the scene but they were gonna start from after my character walks out, but last minute they decided to have me enter so I ran across the set and jumped up on the ledge and I tripped! I got up like everything was okay and did a funny reveal to the audience and they all laughed. We shot the scene and after we cut I looked down at my knee and saw I was bleeding down my leg! Everyone was worried and I felt so embarrassed!

What social media do you use?

I’m obsessed with them all and I run them all myself! I use Twitter @ryanochoa Instagram @ryanochoa and Facebook @1crazyryy

I control all my social media cause no matter what it’s always about and always going to be about the fans and my Ryanators! They are the best and they support me with everything and that is the best feeling as an actor and musician now with my brothers, The Ochoa Boyz.
