We are featuring Tim Center, here’s what he had to say!
What brings you to Tallahassee?I moved from Tampa in 1984 to attend FSU where I got both my undergrad and law degrees. Have worked for the Florida Legislature, Department of Juvenile Justice, Florida Home Builders and Collins Center for Public Policy where I began heading the Sustainable Florida initiative.
How has sustainable Florida evolved over the years and what do you want visitors and locals to know that they may not already?Sustainable Florida has promoted sustainability best practices since its inception since 1989 when it was the Environmental Education Foundation. With tremendous support from private, NGO and public sector organizations, Sustainable Florida encourages collaboration, cooperation and education to help organizations focus on balancing economic growth and environmental stewardship in order to create a stronger and more sustainable community.
What social media do you use (here’s your spot to promote)?Sustainable Florida is on the web (http://sustainableflorida.org/), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sustainable-Florida/259092557485007) and Twitter (@SustainFlorida) and offers an e-newsletter Envision Florida that is distributed to more than 18,0000 sustainability leaders across Florida.
