How did HERC start?

Rita Blank and Barbara Goldstein, both children of Holocaust Survivors,
started by going to visit schools to speak with classes in Leon County.
After many requests to share their family stories, they decided to take a
different approach. In 2006, the first Holocaust education teacher workshop
was held for 65 teachers to learn the lessons of Never Forget.

How has  Holocaust education changed in the community since HERC started?
Holocaust education has moved in a big direction with more programs planned
every year to reach the schools and community. The interest and support
keeps growing to Never Forget the lessons of history.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about the HERC that they may not already know? HERC can teach everyone at any age important lessons about history.
