Learn about DOMI, our May Local Spotlight!

What  brought DOMI you to Tallahassee?

Tallahassee is in a period of rapid growth. Domi saw an opportunity to further empower the entrepreneurial spirit of the community and help startups succeed!

What have you noticed about the entrepreneur community over the years?

The amount of community support and interest in entrepreneurship continues to blow us away! Domi opened its doors in May 2014, but this movement has been building for a long time. With the support of multiple public and private sponsors, including Florida State University, Florida A&M University, Leon County, and Florida Blue, we’ve been able to create a place for entrepreneurs to come together. What we need now is to focus support on the companies that are emerging.

What do you want visitors and locals to know about DOMI that they may not already know?

Domi offers a multi-faceted program. From our Lean Launchpad-inspired Get Started Series to the 4-month Incubator program, everything we do strategically assists different phases of an entrepreneur’s journey. To further seed the ecosystem with talent and support, we also maintain coworking plans and ongoing access to a diverse group of mentors. Our goal is to help turn ideas and prototypes into sustainable and scalable businesses.

What social media do you use (here’s your spot to promote)?

We’re plenty social! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn. We also have a bimonthly newsletter where we update the community on startup news and events.
